My main diet consists of food that doesn't include meat or dairy. Like a vegan. I eat this way because I feel 10 times better, I believe it's a healthy way to live, and the bonus is, the meals are delicious.
The word vegan is usually met by our friends and family recoiling in horror. People think you're mad! So I decided to do this blog (how original right?) to show the delicious vegan friendly meals we've managed to make to show we're not crazy and there's loads of options.

This was my first attempt at making a slightly unusual soup from scratch. I usually buy ready made soups, like the Covent Garden ones as they seem to be fresher than the canned variety. However, there is something really lovely about preparing a meal from scratch, knowing exactly what went into it. I would say this was a partial success, but my partner wasn't keen as the texture wasn't as thick as he probably would have liked. Oh, and he doesn't really like asparagus. Oh well.
